The Arts & Crafts Activities
The Resource Centre activities are entirely self – funded. Proceeds from the sales of pictures of bead work produced by the Project Manager, Cynthia Mpati, are used to sustain the centers. The beaded pictures are categorized into 5 themes, mainly:
- Women’s issues.
- Human rights.
- South Africa the beautiful.
- Indigenous knowledge systems.
- Pandemics and natural disasters.
Crafts like grass mats and traditional clay pots are also made by local women and sold for petty cash.
